'Pastel Dreams' French lavender
Lavendula stoechas

'Pastel Dreams' French lavender Think lavender, and you can't help but think "aaah — the fragrance." 'Pastel Dreams' will start you thinking "pretty flowers," too. Instead of the usual purple "bunny ears" on top of flower spikes (they're actually flower bracts) this new variety has creamy white bracts. Like most lavenders, it's a great cut flower and butterfly magnet. But if 'Pastel Dreams' isn't hardy in your area, try it in a container and keep it nearby, because not only is it good-looking, it smells good, too!
